The Heritage Theater was a 260 seat theater in Queens Colony. The multi-media show depicted 3 centuries of Carolina history projected on a 140-degree screen which ran until 1975. It was renamed "King's Cinema" in 1976 which included an arcade and later on a Sing-A-Song recording studio in 1986. It was later converted to a lazer tag game in 1996. The building was eventually demolished to make way for the Runaway Reptar family coaster in 2003. That coaster was repainted several years later and renamed Flying Ace Aerial Chase (below).
|This 2013 view is taken from approximately the same point as the 1973 photo (top). No more Heritage Theater or Cable Skyway. Just signs of an ever growing park. This area is now known as Planet Snoopy.|
