The Mule-Go-Round (1973-74) was basically a rustic, mule-powered carousel. An article in the Charlotte Observer (July 7, 1974) quoted Pat Hall as saying, "A lady from the Humane Society was giving me hell about that mule, so I put up a sign that said, "This mule works 4 hours a day and sleeps and eats 20." This unique attraction was removed after the 1974 season. A small, portable carousel "Horse Around" took the place of the Mule-Go-Round in 1975 and was the parks only carousel until the larger PTC #67 arrived in Hanna-Barbera Land in 1979.
